We will be hiking Mt. Moosilauke via the Glencliff/ Appalachian trail. It's approximately 8 miles and will be a somewhat challenging trek.
The trail eases you into the ascent as you stroll through snowy pastures. You’ll cross a small brook and then begin a steeper climb. The rest of the trail is a steady incline all the way up until it flattens out just before the summit. Cairns guide you through the sometimes-low visibility as you progress a short way up the exposed “head” of the mountain. You arrive at a bright orange summit sign!
The Glencliff trail is beautiful, and I look forward to sharing this experience with you! This is considered a moderate to difficult hike and you should be familiar with winter hiking.
