This hike travels along the shore of a lake following a historic railroad that was built during WWI.

We will continue across a footbridge that leads to a crystal clear body of water popular for swimming then make our way through a 450’ long tunnel! The path is mostly paved, well maintained, and slightly steep in some areas.

Dogs are welcome, there are restrooms at the trailhead parking lot, and a National Forest Pass is required for parking.
